Surgical Registrar
Erik graduated from veterinary school in 2011 and worked in small animal practice across multiple countries before settling back in Australia. He had a lifelong dream of specialising in surgery and was fortunate enough to start this dream by attending the QVS surgery internship in 2021. During this time, he attained membership by examination to the surgery chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of veterinary scientists (MANZCVS). A surgical residency (ECVS surgery) at QVS then followed during which a Masters in Veterinary Medicine (MVM) was completed, publication of papers in premier surgical journals was achieved and original research was presented at the European College of Veterinary Surgeons conference in Antwerp, Belgium. Erik completed the surgical residency in early 2026 . Erik is now a registrar in small animal surgery and is mainly based at our Stafford hospital.
In his spare time Erik can be found spending time with his family, drinking coffee and running or biking some of the amazing trails here in South East Queensland.
