BVSc (Hons), MANCVS (Small Animal Medicine)
Internal Medicine Registrar
Gemma graduated from the University of Queensland Gatton in 2017 with honours. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship followed by a small animal internal medicine internship with Veterinary Specialist Services. During these two years she developed an interest in the complexities of small animal internal medicine.
She commenced a small animal internal medicine residency training program with Veterinary Specialist Services in 2020 and was awarded membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Small Animal Medicine in 2021. Gemma completed the 3-year residency in 2023, during which she enjoyed performing endoscopic procedures.
Gemma joined the QVS team as a Registrar in 2025. Her consultations prioritize listening to owner’s concerns and working together to determine the diagnostic and treatment plan appropriate for their individual pet’s needs.
At home she is outnumbered by three charismatic tuxedo cats and enjoys painting, video games and axe throwing.
