Outpatient Ultrasound

Veterinary Specialist Outpatient Ultrasound Service

QVS offers a referral for ultrasound examination on an outpatient basis.

Our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasonography technology and the ultrasounds are performed by our skilled internal medicine veterinarians.

The procedure will generally take between 1 to 2 hours, with a report being produced and the results of the ultrasound communicated to your referring vet within 48 hours, so that they can continue on with treatment of your pet.

Occasionally, after your vet has received the results, they may opt for a full referral to our specialist team, depending on the findings or diagnosis.

If your pet is having an outpatient ultrasound at QVS they will need to be fasted to ensure good vision can be achieved, unless otherwise organised with your referring vet.
